FE (Future Expansion Architecture)
FE is an architecture and design office founded by Deirdre and Nicholas McDermott. FE was founded on the belief that the future provides us with the opportunity to constantly improve on the past, that ideas and context matter, that previous solutions should not preclude new inventions, and that we should always work for a more positive and expansive future. We work with creative and ambitious clients across a range of project types, from homes to cultural projects to workplaces, retail, public spaces, and multi-family housing. We partner with passionate clients who want to do good work collaboratively, openly, and generously. FE was named to the Architectural Record Design Vanguard in 2023 and the inaugural Architect’s Newspaper A’N Twenty to Watch in 2025.
