Luke Melonakos
Vice President and Political Director, CT Tenants Union
Luke Melonakos is the Vice President and political director of the Connecticut Tenants Union. Born and raised in an activist family on the evangelical Christian right, he deploys many political strategies learned on the conservative battlefield. Since coming out and leaving the community ten years ago, he has worked in homeless outreach and case management, church leadership, and theological studies. He was one of the first to begin organizing within the tenant movement in CT in 2021.

Caroline Fermo
Development Coordinator, CT Tenants Union
Caroline Fermo currently serves as the Development Coordinator at CTTU. After spending almost a decade in higher education and human resources, Caroline pivoted to justice work after her experience as a leader with her own CTTU chapter. She has experience in project management, leadership development, recruiting, program management, and training design. Caroline holds a Master’s in Higher Education from the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor’s in Business & French from Franklin & Marshall College. She was born and raised in rural Connecticut, and is excited to be a part of the tenant movement, to organize the working class and permanently shift political and economic power in the state.
