About

We Live Here is a platform for public research and dialogue around living affordability and security that focuses a local lens on the national housing crisis.

If we hope to solve the housing challenges of today, as a community we must develop
a deeper shared understanding of the historical events and systems that contribute to widespread affordability struggles. Here, in New London, we are all affected.

We Live Here aims to provoke debate and inspire creative thinking on a future where housing is affordable for all.

We Live Here is an initiative of “A Right to Housing: Case Study Connecticut,” a public research project led by Connecticut College, in collaboration with the Center for Housing Opportunity Eastern Connecticut (CHO-EC), sponsored by The Mellon Foundation. Directed by Anna Vallye and Beth Sabilia.
